Getronics Dutch headquartered ICT services business with approximately 4,000 employees across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. The business has gone through numerous mergers and divisions, having expanded significantly under its former owner AURELIUS from 2012 to 2017. In July 2020 GSH Private Capital acquired the business in a deal worth €200M.

A former field engineer says, "I was contracted and worked under a Getronics field tech. He would not show up to work on time which caused me to wait for him for several hours every single day. We were supposed to show up at each site everyday at 9am. He showed up on time roughly twice in the 3 weeks that I worked with him. I repeatedly asked him to give me the schedule of the sites and which days we go to those sites but he refused. Every single night I would ask him which site to be at first and at what time, since he never showed up on time. he would refuse to tell me a site and time and would only say that he will call me when he is ready the next day. This would completely destroy my plans for each day. I notified him many times that I have other things to plan in accordance to the work schedule but he would only argue with me and would say condescending statements such as, "so I guess you don't want this paycheck, huh." I wanted to know the times so I could plan my other activities. This guy also yelled at me to buy him lunch on several occasions stating that it is my job to buy lunch since he is the lead tech and I was the assistant tech. This is only a summary, there were many more issues that he had caused. I was removed from the project early because we had gotten into an argument when I kept repeatedly telling him that I need a set time (even though the set time was at 9am). He got very upset at me and called me quite a few names and told me that I am annoying him with that question so he then had me removed from the project without warning."

"Getronics purchased Pomeroy and immediately started dismantling the Pomeroy brand and the fabric upon which is was built. Was Pomeroy perfect, no, BUT it was much better than Getronics. Getronics was touted to employees as a growing and solid IT services company and the hope was that they would merge and fill some of the areas that Pomeroy lacked. This has not been the case. Getronics has very poor management that believes that the customer is no more than a pawn. That profits, not reliable solutions, will allow them to prosper and grow in the saturated US market. Management does not engage with all of its branches nor does it visit its locations to learn about the current environment as well as the strengths and weaknesses. Its like a Ponzi scheme gone bad! The company is a complete mess and is on credit hold with all of its distributors. Payroll can barely be made for both the US and International branches and the company is doomed for failure."

"During my 8 month stint at Getronics I observed questionable work place practices, bullying environment and complete lack of care to their employees. The salary is minimum wage for doing a skilled role. Management are not qualified or experienced in IT and often will shift their duties on to staff. Colleagues are great hard working people at least most of them and I only wish they will also find a better job soon like myself.It's a job I guessWhere do start ?
